Hopatcong Pound Project Wine Tasting event
Recently in the news, there was a fire in a home in Hopatcong. There were many cats that were displaced on account of this. Wendy and the kind people from the pound were over at the house for hours rescuing many cats and taking them back to the pound for shelter and help. Recently, Wendy and her partner Ed put in $56,000 to rebuild and build a new addition to the pound. The building is not finished as of yet but her first priority was the fire cats and their own who are living in this new addition. There were 20-25 full grown cats from 1-6 yrs old who will be fully vetted and spayed/neutered by the town of Hopatcong. They will all be rehomed. In the meantime, many kittens have been born. They need people to adopt both fire cats who are very loving and sweet and the pound cats who were there before the fire cats came. The Hopatcong Pound Project will be holding a wine tasting on October 7 at Pavinci's Italian Bistro right on the lake. See webpage for more info. The cost is $20 and includes dinner and 1strip of tickets for tricky tray style baskets. They will not have many baskets as this is a wine tasting event. Im putting together 5 baskets for this event. It was suggested that I put some candy baskets together. Other than Dollar stores, which stores generally have the best deals on bags ? Also...I was thinking of throwing together a popcorn basket but not sure what to put in it. Im open to suggestions. Thanx.
