Stuck finger with cat's insulin needle

I accidentally stuck my finger after giving my diabetic cat her insulin. Is there need to be worried and should I see my doctor? Thank you

I wouldn't worry. Shouldn't be a problem. I've done same thing myself. Just Clean thoroughly and watch for any sign of infection which I'm sure will not happen.

Resist any impulse to stalk small birds. If you begin to purr when stroked, call the vet immediately. :)

Unless you are also a cat or it has rabies no worries

I would get some cake icing in the house though because if you accidentally gave yourself insulin you could experience a drop in blood sugar but at those doses it would most likely be negligible

Unless it has been already injected into the cat, you should be fine. If there is any sort of fluid or blood on the needle from the cat you need to see a doctor because of the risk of The bacteria cats carry it's called pasteurella. Not fun. It turns into cellulitis so you may be have to take some precautionary antibiotics
