Corned beef and cabbage in restaurants
Anyone know the best place to go for a good corned beef and cabbage dinner on saint pattys day?
If they are offering the St. Patrick's Buffet this year, try Top O' the Green Restaurant at Apple Mountain Golf Course. We've gone in years past, and it was really good.

One of the Blarney Rocks in NYC, standard and excellent corn beef on rye with side of cabbage.
One word: Reuben. And yes, I am Irish but feel there is no good recipe for corned beef and cabbage beyond that noble sandwich.
The American Legion on Willow Grove Friday nite.
Tony's Luncheonette on 57 Both Friday and Saturday
RDJ's during the week. Not sure which day.
The Knights by far is the best! Go every year and never disappointed. Get your tickets early as they sell out quickly ....
In the past I've had the Corned Beef and cabbage at Tony's Luncheonette on Rt 57 by the Weis Market. It was very good
williams tavern (the old felix's in washington) is having $2 plates of corned beef, bangers and mash, or shepards pie. also have drink specials as well.
I am 100% not trying to cause a storm nor trying to be a jerk here but...
Irish Catholic (or any practicing Catholic), St Patrick's Day is on a Friday during Lent, ummm....Corned Beef? Do you get a "pass" for this?
fdjp73 - I think that's why the Legion has the option of "stuffed shrimp". But then again the cardinal in NYC says it's perfectly OK. ;-)
Fdjp731 Bishop Serratelli of the Paterson Diocese sent a notice of dispensation for March 17th to all Catholic Parishes in his diocese, so just go over the border into Morris County
Yes you do get a pass :) read about it today and seen on the news that were allowed to have it
Have to pick the Mrs up from work in Easton PA later this afternoon. Anyone ever been to McCarthy's Red Stag Pub in Bethlehem? Thoughts? Thinking about a decent Irish spot out that way for a quick bite to eat.

The Red Stag Pub is great. I doubt you'll be able to get through the door at "happy hour"-ish time today though and even if you can, I doubt there will be anything "quick" about it. It's liable to be completely mobbed.
Shakey jakes in stanhope and gatwyns on rt 15 in jefferson is having bag pipes also. Oh and the canal house in jefferson is having live music tonight check out their facebook page
I had THE absolute BEST corned beef and cabbage dinner in my entire life at the Mine Brook Golf Club in Hackettstown. Absolutely incredible.
Luigi's Rancho was still serving it on Saturday, and while I hardly ever eat it as a corned beef and cabbage meal together, I have to say the way they made it as really good and has made me a fan.
Just had corned beef reuben at Bea Mcnalleys, was fine, good bread plenty of moist meat and great french fries as well. Looks like all the complaining did some good
Went to Bea McNally's today for lunch.
The food was delicious, the waitress was so nice and accommodating. The place looked nice. I am glad to see them back and wish them a long life here in town.
