Pequest Sporting Goods Store
Noticed a "Coming Soon" sign posted on the building located on corner of Alphano Rd. & RT 46 (formerly a barber shop). Anyone have any info? I'm not even sure how long the sign has been there. Thanks in advance.

JB400 Yes, JB400, but like most things, have to get thru the red tape first....proper paperwork, background checks, etc. Starting out with the season at hand, fishing, while the gun/ammo process is underway.
Soft opening....highlighting trout fishing....this Saturday...more info to follow.
Barb- What time will your doors open on the first day of fishing? Will be headed to the Pequest river about 6 am. Thanks

jenny auntiel- doors will be open at 6am (maybe a little earlier, but definitely at 6am.) Hope the rain stops and the water levels don't deter the fishermen!
jenny- no "ceremony" this Sat. we think the fishermen want to get fishin' since it's the first day of trout season. We are still getting stuff together and technically this is our soft opening, so we may do something more official in the future. When you stop in this weekend you will see we are truly only highlighting the season at hand. When you make a return visit you will see more new product and the other seasonal items fall into place. We are a work in progress...
The worms are wiggling with excitement! 6am opening tomorrow.

Hubby stopped in today and is ecstatic that you'll be carrying live herring! He's always had to gone out of his way to pick them up before hitting the lakes. Expect to see him almost daily. Best of luck with your new business! I wish you great success!
Ted Our current focus is fishing and hunting supplies. We have heard a few requests for the discgolf frisbees and were doing some research and haven't committed either way. Our store can only hold so much product, so we may need to stick to our original plan. In regards to soccer or baseball or any of those types of sports we will not be carrying any of that. On a positive....if you love to fish with live bait then we are the place for you! Herring, shiners, fatheads, nightcrawlers, garden worms, butterworms, meal worms, baby crawlers....come check us out! At the corner of Alphano Rd. and Rt. 46.

hopefullyYes! PSG did acquire their FFL and have been selling firearms and ammo for a couple of months now. The inventory is very small on firearms at this time. PSG has been doing mostly ordering per customer request when it comes to purchasing the firearms. The men will seek out what you are looking for and get you a real good price! If you are in the market to buy, do your homework and come on in and see one of the PSG men who will gladly assist you.
