Congrats to Nick Balella who placed 5th in 132 weight class today in Atlantic City! Quite an accomplishment to place in top 5 and be on the podium !

ole' timerNick had a great tournament! He entered the weekend as the 12 seed and took down multiple previous medalists! We've had back-to-back state place winners out of Hackettstown: Aiden Scheeringa in 2023 (6th Place, 106 lbs) and Nick Balella in 2024 (5th Place, 132 lbs). This is the first time in 15 years we've had consecutive state medalists (Cory Vernon, 7th and Zach Ulm, 8th in 2007; Owen Vernon 3rd in 2008 and Corey Kozimor 7th in 2009). These kids are working hard!
