They may know...
I would be extremely surprised if they were to open up any kind of ATV/Motorcycle track, considering the (likely) insane insurance costs as well as environmental requirements that have shut down plenty of other riding areas/events in the state (including the local ECEA enduro that used to occur in the Allamuchy/Stephens State Park area).
There is an overgrown motocross track at the house across the street from the farm, but I always assumed it is someone's private practice/play area. I have no idea if that home is owned by anyone associated with the farm.
There is not a track opening up on the farm, the family was riding on the farm this past weekend, that being said many people complained and started this rumor, people need to find other things to complain about and leave the kids alone trying to stay out of trouble and enjoy their time
As an owner of the property this is not at all accurate information. I’m not sure where this information came from but like stated above this information is false and it’s private property.
I was wondering if they bought the land across the road... right around there is a house on the opposite side of the road that built a BMX/MX track in their side yard, it has been overgrown for awhile tho...
The property across the street is a former pro motocross racer. I was wondering the same. That's why I found it interesting.
People think the Railroad tracks are public property to ride on as well. It is not it is PRIVATE property and if caught risk loosing your ride and Federal prosecution.
They do need to have areas in this state where people can go and ride, but not be able to sue the pants off of the property owners.
Technically NJ requires registration and insurance to ride a dirtbike on your own property...which is absurd.
They don't offer a single place of state land to ride on last I checked...so they shouldn't get a single $ of anyone's money until they do.
It’s all b/s they did not open anything and they have no track I am friends with the family and a neighbor got there pants in a bunch and this is all made up!!
i have a farm on shade of death road i was wondering if you need a special permit or permission from the township to use it for a haunted Halloween hayrides around Halloween time
Odd to tag on to this thread Mel... but absolutely you need a permit and insurance if you are going to use it for commercial purposes.
.....as a farm owner, therefore business owner... how could you possibly not have already known that?
If you even just took a friend for a ride on your tractor while planting seed... you would be liable.
Geez.
not so odd a tag was just thinking that Corrado farm on mt bethel road was doing hayrides I Quess they must have some sort of a permit to run a commercial business on a farm
Sorry to butt in here. Corrado farm is in Mansfield Township. Shades of Death Road is in Independence or Allamuchy townships. The Land Use policies could be very different as to what is permitted in each municipality.
