Hackettstown Life Forum on the radio, too!
Thought you'd like to know that starting Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 WRNJ Radio's "Take The Long Way Home" program, heard every weekday afternoon from 3-7PM with Russ Long, will be featuring recent Hackettstown Life Forum topics and posts. The new feature is part of the revitalized afternoon drive segment on The Local Station. Posters names will be also be aired.
WRNJ is located at 1510 AM, 94.7Fm, 104.7FM and at wrnj.com
Thanks Russ for making Hackettstown Lifers aware of this new segment on WRNJ. I'll be listening;-)
Oh crap, we're all in a lot of trouble. ;-)
[begins to pray there are no Genie posts after Jan 2]
O my, I really like the idea. I believe they feel that if these are online than it must be on others minds. I think its great.
Maybe it will make other think twice before posting. I know I will. Lots of type deleting going on.
If only the first topic of conversation could be about ....... [drum roll] .... the Library! i kid, i kid.
A lot of folks who listen to WRNJ miss Doc South; me included. It would be wonderful if Doc came back for the 12 to 3 afternoon segment. In my humble opinion Dave in the morning and Russ in the late afternoon fill that air time nicely. Now, if only 12 to 3 could be powered by Doc. To the Powers that be at WRNJ, the decision makers .... is there a chance this could happen in 2012?
Well looks like Fixer & Isthatyou know this person. Fixer - if you notice that this person talks to other members of the community, why not make note of who he is talking to and go up to that person on your own time and ask their opinion on the situation? Or join the individual in the conversation to observe the interaction.
I'd generally say just mind your own business and try to gently remove yourself from the situation when it becomes time-consuming. If at all you feel uncomfortable, let the individual know and move onto another subject of interest for the individual so that he knows he didn't just lose a friend.
I don't know, these situations are always a little tough. I don't think you'd really be in the right to do anything unless something significant really happens.
I think Russ should have to read the comments word for word. May make for a funny show. See if the listeners at home can try to figure out what the poster is trying to say!
I think Russ should also wish the posters Happy Birthday. We can go in and throw a few fake names on the calendar and see what we can make him say on the air.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjsobxYy_Eo
I just heard Russ Long on the radio saying that every day around 3:15, they will list the top (10 I think) topics on HL so listeners can find out what their neighbors are talking about.
Can't wait to see how this goes!
Cowgirl1: Maybe they just want to pull the community together. I'm sure they're not going to go all negative.. Maybe they'll stick to the positive/happy/informative threads. In any case, I can't wait. Which isn't to say you're going to be hearing much from cbel next week.
I just hope it doesn't include bashing of people's businesses or rumors.
I can see the top threads being the same cats lost over and over and found 5 minutes later, the same venters, and that hotties list will get very long. ;) Okay, who's adding Russ Long to it?
I just hope it winds up making the town and area seem nice, because let's face it, some things can be taken the wrong way if you don't understand the situation or person writing it. I wonder though if people will then post that don't live in the area just to be read on air and such. I feel violated! LOL.
On January 3rd, there will be postings about rainbows, puppy tails, lollipops, sugar plums, stardust, and hotties. Got it. ;)
Metsman: If you knew me, you would know I often sweet talk.
But you don't know me. Que Lastima (= "too bad") :) :)
I heard this on the radio today also! My customers were so intrigued as I fed the station thru my computer. Now they are going to read HL!
I am sure the station will do it tastefully. They are very community oriented and want only the best for the area businesses.
Its good timing for me as I was thinking about doing more advertising on the station and HL for the next few months.Thi might be the time to do it.
What a great idea..and if anyone can pull this off it would be Russ Long! Can't wait!
Very interesting. Does anyone know if they replay that time slot on the radio. I hate to think I'll miss it because I'm at work and can't get that station in.
Bessie they are online too. A set of headphones or earbuds and you are set.
www.wrnj.com
Thats how I listen. Most radio stations nowadays do it also. I switch around too many of my favorite ones as I get bored with music easily.
Awww too bad Cbel... Well I guess if you knew me, you wouldn't bash me so much. ;oP
Too bad Bessie. I am sure we could update some of the stuff here. I can try if I am not too busy.
I'll be out of the country and am going to miss the first couple weeks of the broadcast. :-(
Cool idea and best to you on your radio program, Russ. There is no better way to take the pulse of the community than Hackettstownlife, IMHO.
Bessie, don't worry. I'll also reenact the top 10 threads in full costume and post it on Youtube. It'll be like you're there! The first one will probably be a missing cat and I'll be dressed with curlers and a coat running up a street yelling 'Fluffy? Fluffy?'. It'll be very dramatic. Hold your applause til after the 10th thread. ;)
I think we're ALL looking forward to that INMCB. But have you considered NOT putting it on YouTube and instead selling tickets to the INMCB show? Could be a new career for you.
Looks like i will post less and less I dont want my posts on the radio and I am stateing that now for the record
Okay, then Slade. tryouts this weekend for 'HHS Parking Lot Thread: The Opera'. I promise gut wrenching drama and mediocre singing, followed by punch and cookies. (or is it punching and cookies?) *
*Christine: I luvs ya. ;)
Medicocre singing? You're setting your sights so high. Please INMCB.....isn't there a place in the chorus (or a solo) for a totally tone deaf not-a-clue-how-to-carry-a-tune star? You have, in one sentence, dashed my hopes for stardom.
I can bake a mean snickerdoodle and am an expert at hittin' the punch, but if I have to provide both cookies AND a drink, well.........I'm sorry, but that's beyond my scope.
I can, however, provide you with a couple of youngins' that probably would be willing to show their junk in the parking lot for a fee. But it's not punch 'n cookies they're looking for.
First things first: Mr. Negative, I spoke to Doc South, personally, yesterday and he told me if you (or anyone else for that matter) want to know why he is no longer on WRNJ you can e-mail him at www.docsouth@yahoo.com He's also on Facebook at Doc South.
I loved the Birthday & Anniversary prank. Interesting surnames in Kirksville, MO!
Due to time restraints, I won't be reading every topic and each post. I'll be the selecting the ones that I believe are of the greatest interest to the widest audience.
Why someone would post a thought or opinion here in the Forum but not want it on the WRNJ Radio baffles me. Any thoughts?
The Top Stories in Hackettstown Life Forum will be a five minute feature and will air at 3:18, 4:18, 5:18 and 6:18 and can be heard on WRNJ-AM 1510, WRNJ-FM 92.7 & 104.7 and everywhere at wrnj.com
If they state their thoughts on why they don't want it on the radio, you may put that on the radio. :o)
One way or the other Caged, I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like we joke around all the time or anything... ;-)
I would think in this day and age more people are going to see what you post on the internet vs. the radio............no offense Mr. Long. :)
I think it's an awesome idea.
I like the idea, this encourages more people to post out and also more relevant topics that need to be discussed!!!! Lets see how many people use their real names instead of screen names. Should be interesting Mr. Long Thank you. Great idea~!!!
I'm going to be listening to WRNJ a lot more because of this. I expect a lot of people so, and more people to come to HL. It will be a good marketing ploy if nothing else.
pampur: I'm not sure what you mean. Will you use your real name on the radio but still be pampur on HL?
@Russ Long..I think this is wonderful idea..you can get a feel for the unhappiness of Hackettstown's citizens regarding the performance of the police, the politics, the pink sidewalks, the BID, you name it. There are so many thoughts on how things can be down better, cheaper, faster, maybe finally someone will listen to the knowledge that's shared on this forum. Personally, I like the pet pictures, LOL.
@abbadabbadoo..but just think, going on the radio will get more things out there for everyone to listen to. Too bad Russ can't get those pet pictures on the radio.
We love you Russ and whatever you do will be fine! So nice to hear the theme song come up...I drive from place to place on the afternoon and just love hearing your voice. You are such a nice man as well.
Dec '11
pampur: I'm not sure what you mean. Will you use your real name on the radio but still be pampur on HL?
cbel
Yes, her first name is Pam, last name is Pur lol
We do realize, I hope that he (Russ) will be READING from HL. He will not be asking you to come into the station to make your comment. So unless you change your screen name to your REAL name, he will only be able to read the name that is posted. Unless you think you are going to be discovered and become a star (lol) why would after 3+ years, you would be (screen name) then for the radio become ( real name) when you post?
Hey, I'm all for it! As long as he doesn't give me up that I'm in the Lounge having a glass of wine by the fireplace under a cozy leopard print throw. That's not for everyone to know! ;)
But to hear GC's Lounge meals of the week and him chanting "Om mani padme hum" 108 times...... now that would be hilarious!!
*(disclaimer: SueR is NOT my real name, it is a screen name. My real name has a space in it.) ;)
Thanks for breaking the ice to the real SueR.............but you didn't tell us where the space is in your name so you could be S ueR....Su eR........OK, fess up....what's ur real name???
*disclaimer, Slade is not my real name either, but it's a damn better name than my actual name!
Ok, ok, my real name is Reus. I was just doing the whole backwards Alison/Nosila thing.
Or not. ;)
Alpha is my first name, Beta is my last. The 1 is short for my middle name. All my friends call my Alphy.
In case you can't tell, im joking, but I have had people in real life call me alpha as if it was my name.
For most of my life until college, i was pretty much known by my last name to the point my friends have to think about what my first name is at times.
I can't wait till we hear them announce: "Here's a Hackettstown Life message straight from the SueR." (saiy it out loud, you will get it.)
If the medium is the message, this changes everything, don't it. Oh wait, I meant does it not.
Hahaha Mr. G! Unfortunately, I've heard that many times before, since that is a nickname given to me by a clown of a wise-ass HL'er. LOL
how's that changey-radio thing going to work out for HL ?
i mean, from the volly toms and water-less cupcakes on the pinky sidewalks of led lit h-town w/all the street corner people to closing down the county's oldest businesses due to cats with claws still intact, while being unable to pick up teenagers in the parking lot at the high school while admiring how perfect life is over at warren hills and also rearranging all the recreational and travel sportsteams rosters via popular vote right here via HL
i mean, the whole town's a-buzz
and where is the snow, there ought to be snow, well maybe next year!
Hi Friends Just wanted to wish Russ well on this new idea for his show. He was telling me about it at the A&P the other day and, seemed quite excited about it. I think you'll all be in for a treat and I for one, wish him well. Myself, i"m doing just fine with my projects and like Russ said, I can be reached at docsouthshow@yahoo.com. for any info you might want. Oops, my spaghetti's almost done. Time to eat. Good luck Russ.
Thanks Doc for chiming in --- this aught to be VERY interesting!!!
Lord, knows we give him lots of topics to choose from!!
OMG Clyde your on this thread too, talking about me...Ha,ha ....I don't owe you Clyde any explanations. I will gladly give Mr. Long my real name and what I do. I don't have anything to hide. I think his new show is going to be a real success!!!! Thank you for proposing this radio gets results!!
Great to see a post by Doc South. Wishing you well in all you are doing but it sure would be great to have you back on WRNJ. Miss your show, discussions, old-time radio etc. Seemed to set a small-town atmosphere in a cold and sometimes crazy world.
I'm very curious to see what is mentioned on his show..INMCB..get ready for the play by play for me tomorrow. I will be looking for it as soon as I get home..
Sounds interesting. Looking forward to listening when I get in range during the afternoon drive...then online at home!
Hackettstown Police respond to radio ruse as Russ Long excites local community
Published: Tuesday, January 4, 2012, 2:15 PM Updated: Tuesday, January 4, 3:15 AM
The Waren Reporter
HACKETTSTOWN – 11/4/2012
Hackettstown Life experienced a radio makeover as Radio Hosts and Lifers alike competed to get on the air with the most outlandish comments. Effects of the comments were instantaneous and widespread.
At Walmart, a customer demanded gatorade for her free cupcake even though the cupcakes were not free. She was charged with shoplifting by chewing and said she had read about the promotion on Hackettstown Life.
At the local QuickChek, a large brawl broke out as patrons threw coffee on each other yelling "Move it or wear it." The mass hysteria seemed to be spawned by an article attributed to Hackettstown Life about how to get on the radio.
Grey paint has been thrown all over the Main Street sidewalks with the words "Occupy This" spelled out.
ShopRite party platters have had garbage spewed all over them with the words "Johnny Rotten" spray painted on top of the platter. In the parking lot, pregnant women have been attacked by people apparently trying to prove that they were not really pregnant.
And in the HHS parking lot, a Soccer Mom tackled teenagers and put soap in thier mouths stating "I just thought they were abusive and someone on Hackettstown Life suggested this." The students did not comment but hobbled away, bent over, clutching their pant's fly and saying "I'm OK, it's just a cramp."
At the Lackawanna Cut-off: nothing has changed.
Police responded to these events by arresting Russ Long, WRNJ talk show host, for poor grammar and spelling abuse. Apparently, spelling police really do exist. To increase his ratings, Long had been placing fake threads, topics, and responses on Hackettstown Life to incite local readers who tend to believe everything an anonymous person tells them. Meanwhile the situation escalated as Hackettstown Lifers, as they like to call themselves, responded to the radio converage by faking all sorts of information in a vain attempt to be read on the air. One said, "I just have to quit drinking Redbull, get a life and get out of Mom's basement."
Police were tipped to WRNJ by an anonymous caller who provided inside information saying "I just didn't want to see the whole thing go South; arresting Russ is just what the Doc ordered."
Officers arrived to find that a male suspect left on foot through the back door toward Bells Lane, police said. Apparently he was drinking QuickChek coffee, holding a bag of garbage including grey paint cans, and left a trail of cupcake crumbs behind him. Police caught up with him at the Lackawanna Cut-off.
The suspect is described as a thin-built male, 5’8, wearing white gloves, a red hooded sweatshirt with white lettering and blue jeans, police said. The suspect showed no weapon beyond his keyboard, police said. There was an undisclosed amount of what appeared to be day old fruit taken from the ShopRite, according to police. "It had not value, it was pretty old stuff" said a police spokeperson asking not to be named "if you can't spell it write." There were no major injuries reported.
Anyone with any information or that might have seen something suspicious in the area during the time of the town-wide melee is asked to contact Hackettstown LIfe and write it up in an amusing anecdote. If it's really good, Russ will read it on the air.
Assisting at the scene was the Hackettstown Detective Bureau, Independence Twp Police Department, Mansfield Twp Police Department and the Hackettstown Life Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club will be meeting every Wednesday at The River Star diner. As part of his community service and for all the free airtime Hackettstown Life fills for him, Russ Long will be sponsoring the weekly event with a free breakfast every week. The breakfast will be a five minute meal and will take place at 3:18, 4:18, 5:18 and 6:18.
By Waren Reporter: Mistergoogle
I don't know about distasteful and uncalled for, but I thought Mr. G's write-up was pretty funny. Especially the HL Breakfast Club assisting at the scene. I can just see us there with various food items used as weapons to control the crowd. A stale biscuit, extra crispy bacon and extremely hot cups of coffee! LOL
I'm with you, Sue. I thought it was quite entertaining. I guess people saw too much of themselves in the post? LOL
He meant it in humor and I think someone took him literally. All in good fun Mr. G. ;)
Anybody hear the 3:18 time slot? I'm hoping to catch the 4:18 one on my drive home.
Good job Russ! Loved hearing the forum
Except you keep saying hackettstown.com/forum get it right ;)
russ is talking about the found body in the river, Gail Carpenter & Hackettstown Police report. He quoted many on here! Cheekylol, GC< tho he said CG.LOL emmaxxman.
It was very tasteful. I enjoyed heariing it. Good job Russ! My customer loved hearing it too!
Yeah, calico. It was pretty cool to hear. A post by you made it on the air and boy, metsman got a lot of attention. LOL
Calico696: I just had the 3:18 HL Forum show and as predicted, Russ did a fine job and the topics picked were the ones that would be of the most interest to WRNJ listeners..the body found behind the Pump House today, Police DWI statistics report, and the passing of Gail Carpenter. I have my home radio or office Internet tuned to WRNJ all day, anyway, so this just makes it one more reason to listen to my favorite radio station.... WRNJ.
Yes, I did. It was just as I thought it would be. He chose a thread and read comments from the thread. As a matter of fact he read yours (Calico) first. It is not the tonight show as some people on here seem to think. He is not saying and my next guest is Clyde Potts, and I come out from behind a curtain ( after sitting in Green Room) and sit on the sofa while he interviews me. He is just reading comments he chose from the site. EX: "Calico696 posts ( then reads what you posted)"
body not found behind the Pump House. It was behind the Shell station on Rt 57.
I'm listening but not hearing the forum.
Mona: The WRNJ news report just before the Russ Long show said the body was retreived from a large log found behind the Pump House. My husband said also that about noon today he saw all of the police, prosecutors office, etc. down on 57 by Dairy Queen.
I've got a two letter screen name, and he transposes it. ;-)
Not to mention, the one post I've got to go back on.
As for where the body was found, the Pump House is what was released by the MO Police and announced on the air. Sounds like time to wait and see what the real story is there on that subject.
Nice to hear a "joyful" name too. ;-)
Look at the pic on the link. Its behind the Shell and the report said that workers from Greenway spotted the body.
If he's gonna read threads verbatim, I wanna hear him say "tuna". What could possibly be better than saying "tuna"? The whole time today he didn't say "tuna" even once. Why?
Tuna.
Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna.
I'm gonna post on every thread now just to get tuna on the radio.
Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna. Tuna.
;-)
Did everyone hear that?
Tuna.
Just saying. Do you think he'll say it? "Tuna".
Tigger..tell CG --Oh..excuse me... I mean GC..that if he tells Bubbah to stop by for a visit I will get him to say that magic word..."tuna" .tomorrow for you...well...I will try!!!! signed Miss Kitty
Road Trip!
No need to worry, babes. What that boy doesn't know won't hurt him. Me and Bubba tag team on our own to get there.
Whoopie, I'm just a secret knock away from Miss Kitty's treats.
I missed some of the talk as I was helping someone. BUT I did hear him transpose your name GC! I actually laughed! LOL
It was very nice and it fit right in with Russ' show!
I think you ROCKED, Mr. G ~ how could anyone take that literally - it was all satire and very well written. Missed the show this afternoon, kids back in school and I AM Bi-zeee, but I got a good chuckle with your play-by-play. Keep up the good work and thanks! :D
Christine - I wouldn't worry. I got me my tuna even if Russ didn't say it even one single time.
Now if I could only get the jackwagon human to stop bugging me with the flash. I'm EATING here. Go away. No respect I tell you.
INeedMoreTuna
I hope Russ reads the thread about the Star (and Cross) on top of Buck Hill.
It was nice to learn more about the history of that Hackettstown land mark.
Christine - That's easy for you to say when he doesn't want to settle down for the night on the couch next to your face. And anything fishy makes you puke. ;-)
PSU in Jersey - It seems like he's going to take a few threads towards the top of the list and read from that. And then update the same things each hour.
Been listening the last few days to the Forum events on Russ Long Show in afternoons on WRNJ...as predicated he is doing this with good taste and picking topics that only show the best of the posters and topics of interest to his listening audience and I am personally happy to see that. Hackettsown Life Forum has had some "not so nice" people posting recently and this may be a way to bring back the image of the Forum. People asking questions and helping other people without all the nastiness and name calling. Thanks, Russ!!
Exactly what I thought it would be Joyful, glad you're enjoying it. I've had the chance to listen a few times, Russ is doing a good job.
I catch most of his conversations about the forum. He sticks with a couple threads and just updates them later in the show. I like it as many times lately I cannot get on and read the threads so it helps me keep up a bit.
TUNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hackettstown radio re-renderer Russ awarded for rehashing reader’s writings repetitiously all day.

HACKETTSTOWN – 4/1/2012
WJNR Radio legend Russ Long re-reads old posts regularly on the air helping many in the community gain access to the wide world of Hackettstown Life --- the feelings, the emotions, the missspellings, misquotes, misanthropes, and political theater. Hailed as a miracle for the blind and the illiterate alike, Russ won the prestigious Hackettstown Life Award for Best Thread for his shameless self-promotional thread: "HLF on the radio, too!" "It's the best thing I have ever seen" said one blind guy. The illiterate guy drinking coffee outside of Walmart would not comment and was really pissed that all Main Street traffic seems to stop dead at 3:18, 4:18, 5:18 and 6:18. He didn't really have a clue what was being talked about but opined "It's a theater of the mind for that 1% crowd" while tossing his coffee on a nearby Mercedes. Illiterate guy, opined --- you be the judge....maybe. But Mercedes at Walmart?
Others were only too quick to applaud Russ’s work ethics at working to do less work by reading the works of others rather than working at writing his own works:
"I've got a two letter screen name, and he transposes it. ;-)" said GC, no GC.
“Smells fishy to me” said one listener that Russ called ANUT.
Famed Quarterback Eli Manning, a big fan of the show, was heard to say “Go Long, go Long.”
Pornstar Seka said, “Hey, the longer the better”
Robert De Niro was asked about the show outside of Bottle King and said, “You talking to me, you takin to me. Are you talking to me…”
George Orwell summariized the show when he said: "The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns ... instinctively to LONG words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink..."
“It was very tasteful. I enjoyed hearing it. Good job Russ! My customer loved hearing it too!” said Christine who was later arrested at her store for replaying a radio broadcast at a commerical location without paying the copyright fees after police were tipped off by an insider at WJRN. "It was a Long shot" said the arresting officer.
“Russ did a fine job and the topics picked were the ones that would be of the most interest to WNJR listeners” said Joyful who added that she likes Mexican food and can be reached at 908-850-0000.
Long responded to all this by saying "It's all about the work."
In an associated story, Police arrested MisterGoogle once again in his mother’s basement locked to his keyboard and drinking four cans of Red Bull while looking at Want Ads from the Newark Star Ledger. MG was busted for impersonating a comedian and humor failing to make people laugh. “Unlike tuna, Mistergoogle is in bad taste even with mayo and relish added” said Hackettstown Detective Bob Gonnawriteuaticketfornothing. Police were tipped to MG by various HLers who provided inside information just to get him to stop typing. "You need to find work Mr. G. Too much free time on your hands." said John C. who spends his nights sitting alone in the dark with a tape recorder, camera, and his trusty K2 meter, waiting for an apparition so he can get a foggy photograph for his blog:”How to Best Use Your Free Time.” John C. has a special group play date scheduled for later this month. "Mr. G's comments were distasteful and uncalled for" said Copygirl who spends her time posting political threads eliciting distasteful and uncalled for comments.
No one was arrested at the Lackawanna Cutoff.
Assisting at the scene was the Hackettstown Detective Bureau, Independence Twp EMS (they billed by the minute) , Mansfield Twp Police Department (who drove into the building, no brakes) and the Hackettstown Life Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club will be meeting every Wednesday at The River Star diner. As part of his neverending love for commuity the and for all the free airtime Hackettstown Life fills for him, Russ Long will be sponsoring the weekly event with a free breakfast every week. The breakfast will be a five minute meal and will take place at 3:18, 4:18, 5:18 and 6:18. Attending The Breakfast Club this week will be Ally Sheedy, Emilo Estevez, Judd Nelso and Molly Ringwald. Russ will also be attending John C's special play date later this month: "I will have bells on, nothing else, just bells...."

I thought this was for real until I got to "Hailed as a miracle for the blind...." Then I knew it was our own mg.
My favorite is Bob Gonnawriteuaticketfornothing.
mistergoogle: The following song is dedicated to you...with love and respect.

Mr.Google, if you are doing this at work-your in the wrong line of work- hopefully you do something creative- if not, maybe "WJNR" can hire you in advertising- you can certainly write more creative copy than they are given to read over the air.
If your at home, or retired-good, stay there- this stuff is too funny to have you wasting your time at a job and leaving us without this laugh track.
And, Russ Long- this is what interests our listeners today in Hackettstown- will you acknowledge the hilarious contributions of Mr.Google?
Well Christine, with apologies to Mary Poppins and this one (I didn't write it) is for you:
A Spoonful of Tuna (a spoonful of sugar)
Just a spoonful of tuna helps the medicine go down,
the medicine go down, the medicine go down,
just a spoonful of tuna helps the medicine go down,
in the most delightful way!
But wait, there's more: http://www.uvm.edu/~jdion/pets/tunasongs.html#christmas
MisterG - I don't know whether I should be relieved or disappointed that I have not been included in your post. :):)
Jan '12
I am truly overwhelmed with tuna. My job here now done, I believe I will have just a small snooze. Just a small one. Not too long.
Oh, who am I kidding. See you next week.
Another dedication to mistergoogle.

TUNA!
Wait..... John C. spends his nights sitting alone in the dark hoping to catch a picture of an apparition and I have TOO MUCH time on my hands? You know that I look just like Alexander Skarsgard don't you? Swoon on over and we can do a can of tuna together if you don't faint first ;>)
I will pick you up outside of Walmart at either 3:18, 4:18, 5:18 and 6:18; no one is ever doing anything at that time anyway. I will be driving the silver Mercedes with coffee stains on the hood.
Hmmmm.....not quite sitting in the dark alone by a long shot, and who really cares if we catch that apparition or not. What a way to collect a paycheck!
Don't worry about the google-miester John. Even in jest he's destined to insult - he simply knows of no other way to communicate! It's part of his character, for better or worse...
Not worried justintime! I'm the one working with the "A" team and I love every second! And the "view" keeps me young at heart!
And a big WAH award to Justy, enjoy it with a beer to cry in. Who's on first here anyway, justy, geeeez louise. You're on pins n needles Mate, pins n needles.
