RIP Ernest Borgnine
Ernest Borgnine passed away today at the age of 95. He was best known for his starrring role in "Marty" and we remember him most from McHales Navy.
RIP Ernest Borgnine
he was an original...his autobiography "Ernie" is one of my favorite reads...he worked with many of the greatest movie actors...and through all his fame remained a pretty decent person...
While I didn't grow up watching him in McHale's Navy, I did enjoy watching him various movies. I always liked him. He was the type of actor that could play a tough old vet-style guy but also was believable as a softie.
one other thing...he was famous for McHales Navy on tv...but Ernest served in the United States Navy from 1935-1945...and he was a Navy man all his life...
Ernest Borgnine......This guy was a personality in himself. You just don't find em like that anymore. God Bless you Ernest !
In an interview on Fox and Friends, he attributed his longevity to frequent self-pleasure. With a sense of humor like that, how can you not love the guy? I'm legitimately saddened that he's no longer with us.
