Sharpton and Jackson need to continue to stir up racial problems otherwise they are out of a job. Where are they when there is black on black crime or black on white crime??

The whole racial hypocrisy in this country is pathetic.

I just want to know how Sharpton is still a respected public figure and all these news people kiss up to him, after the whole Tawana thing anybody else in the world would have been gone and looked at as a big fat lianr/ Not to mention the impact it had on the guy who was falsely accused of this. Imagine his poor life these days. He is an outcast and he did nothing, It really just angers me so much that this guy is still around,

Curious3 - right on the money with that post. This man' s character is pathetic. The whole Tawana thing consumed the news for months. Has Rev. Al had to pay up to those who were wrongly accused? Pppphhhttt or did he move on to other's causes? How he continues his charade is beyond me.

Obviously mswarrendcounty did not read the story linked here where it states that Rev Al did pay for his part in this tragedy and travesty.

From Wikipedia: Looks like Sharpton didn't even pay his own share, other people paid for him. What a stand up guy he is!!!!

Pagones had also sued Brawley. She defaulted by not appearing at the trial, and the judge ordered her to pay him damages of $185,000.[28] The $65,000 judgment levied against Al Sharpton was paid for him in 2001 by supporters, including attorney Johnnie Cochran plus former businessman Earl G. Graves, Jr.[29][30] In December 2012, the New York Post reported that Maddox had paid his judgment of $97,000 and Mason was making payments on the $188,000 which he owed. Brawley reportedly had not made any payments.[31] The following month a court ordered her wages garnished to pay Pagones.[32] In May 2013, a fundraiser was held in New Jersey to help pay her legal costs. Professor Leonard Jeffries acted as the MC at the event and said, "Let this young queen know that we love her to death."[33] In July 2013, a Virginia judge ordered that Brawley would have her pay garnished for six months in order to pay the amount $3,764.61. Brawley owes more than $431,000 after 15 years of interest on the 1998 verdict.[34]

The payment was made and whether Al made it direct, indirect, or direct and then received support dollars later is irrelevant.

Al has a net worth $5M, pretty small stuff for an ole man in the limelight.

Breit Barf, who can't make a living without Al, is worth $10M and is still up n coming.

So give me a break, he did the crime, he did paid the fine. Restitution was made, get over it.

Sure Al is over the top, quick to pull trigger, but he paid for his mistake here, let it go.

You do realize Breibart is deceased?

Must be a slow day... mistergoogle is jonesing so bad to argue with someone, he's actually taking a pro-Sharpton stance, lol.

In what libtard world is a fine being paid by other race baiters punishment for the crime?

How the hell did he pay for his mistake - it cost him nothing!
& now he has a TV show nobody watches except Google.

"Breit Barf"
"libtard"

...echoes your own intelligence, folks.

While racial equality is still a problem in this country, Sharpton and Jackson are just detractors - no sense in defending them. Brawley case a good example of that.

Of course, there have also been instances of white people accusing black people of a crime they did not commit. There have been people killed for these "crimes" Yes, Rev Al and Jesse Jackson are race baiters and I wish they would focus more on uplifting the black community rather than trying to divide it.

JR --- ooops, ya gots me. Was lookin for Bret Baier. All you conservatives sounds and look alike. Either Ron Reagan blue suit, red tie or camo.

And folks, I am not defending Al's part in this. What he did was wrong and the payment is proof of that. All I am saying is he did pay the fine for the crime and that is considered his punishment. The fact that someone gave him his money is irrelevant, people give him money to speak all the time.

I mean it's not like he's the black Paula Deen :>) (maybe you're right Iman, maybe you're right)

Agreed Birdie, well said. But there is racial inequality that needs to be addressed, and there's diologue that must be had. Again, Sharpton and Jackson are doing it wrong.

what world do you live in Mr Google, anyone else in the world would have been done after that, if you pulled some crap like that at your job, you would be done. And like I said the poor guy who was accused still will never have a normal life, so stop acting stupid and see it for what it is, there are people in this world who get away with stuff because of there fame, and its just down right wrong. No one even questions sharpton its embarrasing.

He is not helping black people, he causes riots

Lots of people do bad things, stupid or not, pay the fine, and resume normal lives or better. It can be your opinion that he should be Paula Deen'ed but apparently that is not the case.

Any special riots he has caused?

But nice of you all to speak for the black people as in "He is not helping black people....." Really.

This is actually pretty funny in that I am not a Rev Al supporter although I did like his Presidential debate commentary where he was the only liberal to call the Dems for what they were instead of groveling like Maddow and the others. But I do know that when someone does the time, pays the fine, etc. that it's considered end of punishment. We don't scarlet letter anymore. Al or not, that is still true.

"what does it matter at this point"

quote from Hillary Clinton

BrotherDog BrotherDog

How about Freddy's in Harlem and the Korean episode and Crown Heights in Brooklyn where he stoked the flames with his racial comments. Where was the Reverend when those three black kids beat the crap out of the 13 year old white boy on the bus recently. Also, the media (NBC News) when reporting the story failed to mention it was a white boy. If it was 3 white kids beating the crap out of a black kid, do you think that would have been reported? I think we all know the answer.

This is Google's hero - a race baiting idiot...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-kBY5x2YbM

Mr google, what time did he do? He went to jail?
And he did not pay for it, Im sure if you commited such a terrible crime, no one would pay for you, and worse yet, Tawana who had actually commited the crime, did she do time?
And she has not paid a dime, Stop making it a Dem versus Republic case, Just see it for what it is, someone who was accused of commiting a crime he did not commit and had his life ruined, you dont seem to focus on that at all, his life is ruined forever, what do you think of that, what if it was you, How would you feel, would you say oh its ok that accused me of these horrific acts, I forgive you that my life is down the shitter. Focus on the points and stop making it a Political isstue. It was a race issue, and sometimes its not just black people who are accused, it can be white people, it goes both ways my friend and none of it is any good, it all stinks

I am going to continue not to defend Al's agenda as I am not a supporter. And as much as some would like to tell me how to feel, what it is like, I am not a supporter and will continue to not be one so, no, I don't have a clue how you or whoever you are talking about feels.

Nor have I made "it a Dem versus Republic case" so I will continue to stop not doing that too.

Nor will I blame him for every riot that occurred before or after he spoke on a topic or blame Al for the media not reporting the current beating case correctly. He will continue to not be directly at fault for this and if he ever is: arrest him or take him to civil court.

I did like the accusation of him "race-baiting" with a tape link that has no race baiting in it; I will continue to not do those types of linkages.

But if you pay the fine, you do not deserve to go to jail as Curious would like. And the public can treat you how they wish. Like Sharpton or like Deen.

Thanks for the crazy thoughts though; keep em coming.
