Old Bingelton Inn - Info Request
Researching Hackettstown fishing history in the 1920's. Found references to a Bingelton Inn in an old Field & Stream magazine that offered fishing. Believe the Inn was owned by May and Jack Bingel and was on the Easton State Road or Highway. Am interested in knowing location of the Inn, finding a photo and any other information about it.
The Bingleton was located along Rt. 57 in Mansfield Township. The owner was John D. Bingle. He sold the business around August in 1935 and it was renamed the Mansfield Inn.
wcguy.... It is so great to see old photos of the area like the one you posted! Thank you for sharing and allowing us all to enjoy. It is people like you who help keep the history of this county alive in all of us! Thank you so much :)
Does anyone have a picture of the Riverview Tavern that was farther on down Rt 57 near Stephensburg?
