Scratch & Dent appliance stores
Are there any scratch & dent appliance stores in the area? Not necessarily in H'town or even Warren County, but in the general NWNJ or NEPA area.
Thanks!
Years ago we went to one in PA.........I'll have to ask my husband where it was exactly.
We got an amazing deal on a stove from HomeDepot and all it had was a tiny chip in the enamel down by the little pull out drawer on the bottom on the stove....I mean it was the size of a dime......The stove was well over 600.........and we got it for 200....So you may want to ck out HD or even Lowes......
There was one several years ago in Madison forget the name. It was huge and I got a beautiful refrigerator it just so happened the dent was on the wall side. Had it for 3 years now. Maybe you can find them online.
There's an open box store in Andover on 206. It's behind the firehouse..same parking lot area as firehouse pizza
All Home Depot and Lowe's have them just go and look or call around. I see them all the time when I visit them they just sit in the aisle.
Uneeda Appliance in Somerville, off of Rt 202, had a big selection last time I was there.
This place in Clifton seems to have a few!

I just ordered a dishwasher and dryer from Industrial Sales. All you need are manufacturer number. Brand new, prices are lower than any sale, free delivery, no tax and they will take the old news for $25. Have used them on several occasions.
I renovate homes, so I buy a lot of appliances. From my experience, it has always been easiest just to buy from Home Depot or Lowe's. They're right in town. They have big sales regularly. They have discounted clearance items. They have discounted returned items. They have discounted scratched/dented items. They have even more sales/specials online. They will usually match competitor pricing. If you have their credit card, then you can usually get another discount or special financing, and they send out regular coupons. They will usually deliver the new and haul away the old appliance, and it can usually be done in a couple of days; if you want to pick it up yourself, they will help you load it for free. You can have them install the appliance (sometimes free; sometimes for a small fee, sometimes just by tipping the delivery guys). And if you have a problem, you can always talk to the store manager or complain to the corporate office, and they will usually remedy it.
For all of that, I can't imagine it being worth it to drive around to different stores, looking for a "scratch or dent special."
