Help Identifying This Insect....
It is a lily beetle. Ugh they defoliate the beautiful lilies. I just removed about 40 from my lily plants in my garden. Never seen them this bad before. In fact last year was the first I had seen them on my plants.
How did they get here, and when?!
I had 1 in my garden today.looked like a too red , beetley,lady bug.
Should l Squash it, or is it ok?
I happened to have one of those crawl down my neck while working in the yard the other day. I went inside and finally took my shirt off to get the "itch" and saw it fall into the sink. I thought it was just an odd ball Lady Bug. It took a wave ride down the drain.
That's not a stink bug...

Anyone know what this bug is? This guy was climbing up the outside of my screen door. It's small, only about a half inch in length.
Looks like an assassin bug nymph.
Not sure of the exact species, but here’s a similar angle showing the overall shape.

Also, assassin bugs are beneficial, but supposedly the “bite” of a wheel bug (named for the wheel like structure on its back) is said to be very painful.
"Never heard of a click beetle"
They are kind of interesting.. and the funny thing is just a few days before you posted a picture I had one fall onto me as I was cleaning the inside of my car... must have been hiding up by the weather stripping. Haven't seen any before or since...
Also, I'm not a bug expert... there's just a LOT of bugs/spiders/creepy crawlies down here so I usually search online for what I see flying around the yard/house if it's something I haven't come across before.
I’m pretty sure Click Beetle are native to North America. Ever look into how many Non Native species ( plant and animal ) are invading our land.
