Parking Near MPAC & South and Pine (100 South Street) in Morristown
HL people know a lot. Does anybody have suggestions for parking near the Morristown Performing Arts Center and the restaurant South and Pine both located on South Street in Morristown? I know there is always metered street parking, but I'm wondering if there are any municipal lots or other lots near that location. Thanks in advance!
You can park in the church lot across from MPAC - I can't remember if we prepaid and had a pass - I think we found out about it on MPAC webpage.
We always park about 2-3 blocks down in the municipal lot. It's next to the police station, safe and free.
@Mrs. Pipes. There is a municipal lot on the corner of South Street and Dehart. (DeHart Street Parking Garage)It will be a short walk to the restaurant.… As far as the restaurant I think you’ll find that the food is excellent.
Some of the lots associated with MPAC require that you are attending a show there, and you can purchase/prepay through the website. If it's a nice night, there is a parking garage near the green, behind Roots, not a bad stroll down to the restaurant. Sometimes you will have luck at the Capital One lot, east of the restaurant. As long as its after bank hours. Have a nice time! That's a great restaurant!
We met at South and Pine and everybody was happy with their food. It's a BYOB and that's nice too, 3 different parking areas were used: Capital One where I personally parked in one of the 2 unmarked spots, but the entire lot belongs to Capital One. I went inside the bank and asked if it was okay to park there and was told yes if there are available spots. I do have an acct. but was not banking. One person parked very close to MPAC (like almost next door and across from Cap One) behind what I "think" is the Vail Mansion. It's the closest parking to MPAC. There is a small front lot and another lot down in the back. It was $1.00 per hour. Parking at the Kings Supermarket lot was also good and the walk up to South and Main was short and easy. All parking areas were good. I hope this information is helpful to my friends on HL.
