I am trying to determine for a friend if a small honda natural gas generator would work in PV during an electrical outage?
Michael Kulicke What do you mean by small? To do it right, you need to match the generator to the house needs. I have a 20 KW propane Generac Generator. I have a well, air-conditioner and electric stove so my power needs are a bit more than say someone who has city water and a gas stove. Throw in air-conditioning and your needs go up.

ianimal His issue isn't the size of the generator. The generator needs a certain PSI of natural gas to operate properly.
I would call the gas company. They should know.
Whip It all depends on if the gas distribution center is affected by the outage.
