Green computer screen!

Did anyone ever get a green computer screen? Even if I bring up a document to print, the background is all light green. I didn't change anything! Does anyone know how to get rid of this???

I assume you are using Windows. Go to settings; look for 'personalization'. You can choose background color here.

Or your monitor is going bad. I had one that lost a color and everything was off--mostly purple.

Try unplugging and reconnecting the monitor cables. (Both to the PC and the Monitor). They may have come loose.

Luckily, I restarted it 2 times and the green went away!!

I had to print a letter, and was afraid the whole background would be green if the green tint did not go away, but it did!

Thank you for all your comments. :-)

If windows, you have to hack around, but find microsoft customer service 800 number. The hacking is to get to "chat." Once there, it will take a few minutes to convince the agent of your ineptitude and they will offer to take over you machine, and will probably fix it toot sweet.

also, store your data files in a manner you can back them off quickly, and do it often.

windows has a number of reset, restore features with or without retention of data files. Without data files gets you the cleanest clean. You will then restore your data files, and your applications BUT you get a factory-fresh machine in a few minutes. solves many a hiccup.

I had a TRS 80 Model 4 that had a green screen I couldn't get rid of, lol.

Ditch windows operating system and get Linux. Same functions for a regular use without a hassle of viruses.
